The Lie

The well-worn path is there for you to walk. But this path lies. It’s a seducer that whispers sweet nothings to you in the dark. “Go to college, get a job, take the easy way”. You get so caught supporting the missions of others, there’s no room your own. On top of that, most people are so domesticated they don’t even have a mission. Theres no agency nor individuality.
Living someone else’s life might bring you monetary success but I promise you it won’t bring you real fulfillment. Fulfilment comes from living in alignment with your highest self, the creator. Creation isn’t optional, it’s a nonnegotiable part of our biology. Creation is responsible for all of humanities highest innovations. The interconnectedness of the world today is possible because of creators.
Our culture is locked into this idea of you live to work. Recently I had an argument with a friend that has a wife and house and is employed as a police officer. He’s under the impression that because he has a job and a wife that his priorities or obligations are somehow more important than that of the artist or creator. It isn’t his fault; society has programmed that mindset into everyone.
You don’t live to work; you work to live. Your career and job is only a means of supporting your needs. Theres another false idea of finding your passion. You can’t start expressing your will to power unless you find your passion. Passion is crap. You don’t find what you want to do by thinking about it, you find it by doing. You want to find your creative outlet? You want to be an artist? Start doing shit. When you do it, you walk the path of the artist.
Art is the highest form of human expression. It’s transmuting your emotions and expression and bringing something into existence that didn’t exist before. When our creative needs aren’t met, our psyches cope with addictive behaviors.
The addict and the artist are the same, the difference being that one is addicted to his creative work the other is addicted to the illusion of a creative life. The former goes all in on their work and the highs they get are from the joy of doing their work. The latter numbs themselves with drugs, food, sex, etc. while they put their creative desires on hold. “I’ll start tomorrow”. Fuck that. Start today.
Your creative energy needs to be expressed. Don’t follow the path just because everyone else has. Have the courage to go your own way and make bold decisions. If you’re in college and you know deep down you want to be a painter? Start painting. You’re in a dead end 9-5 job but you really want to get to work on your piano? Sit your ass at the piano and work. You want to be an athlete? Lace up and get to work.
When we leave the path, we skirt the boundary between the void and the known. You cross the oceans of your being and gaze into the nothingness to find your highest self. Don’t fear the void. Act through it. Create from it. Exercise your will to power and live in alignment with your highest self.
